For cases regarding admission, and others is there any time limit fixed by the courts or they can take their own time to reply. My case is pending with Orissa High Court more than six months. It is about getting my registration number for PhD. I am 60 and don't know when my case will be heard and i get justice.

Respected Experts,
I am a Chartered Accountancy Student about to complte CA. I am extremely interested in Tax Consultancy, practicing as counsel in Direct, Indirect taxes, Companies Act and allied business laws. (Laws being my subject of extreme interest). Will LLB be an added advantage to improve my interpretation skills, counselling skills and knowledge?
I must clarify here that I do not intend to practice as a Lawyer but interested in CA Practice only. However, field of interest is Laws.
Please also tell me detailed procedure of becoming LLB.

ON january 1, 2005 one ramesh while he was travelling from bangalore to pune by chennamma express was detained at belgaum railway station by the railway police and a suitcase containing a sum of rs. 5,00,000/- was seized from him on the suspicion case under section 411 ipc read with sections 41 and 102 of the cr.p.c was registered against him.
Mean while intimation about the seizure of money was sent to the incomce tax authorities at belgaum on 2nd january 2005. On 4th january 2005, the income tax inspector belgaum sent an information to the commissioner, income tax department, belgaum about the fact of possession of aforesaid amount by ramesh and also that he did not have any papers and document regarding the ownership and possession of the amount. the commissioner issued a warrant of authorization under section 132a of the income tax act, 1961 on the basis of which the income tax officer sent a letter of requisition to the station officer incharge, railway police belgaum requiring the station house officer to hand over the seized sum of money to him(incom tax officer) who had been aouthrized by warrant of authorization to receive it.
mean while the railway police after completing the investigation submitted the final report on 15th january, 2005 wherein it was stated that the money found in the possession of ramesh did not represent stolen property or property acquired from any offence.
Ramesh moved an application before the railway magistrate, belgaum praying that the money which had been recovered from his possession, be returned to him as it was not required for the purpose of any enquiry or trial. he further relied upon the fact that the railway police had given a final report in his favour.
In these facts and circumstances, argue on the application filed by shri ramesh on behalf of the applicatn as well as on behafl of the income tax department.

I am a CA Final student from punjab.I want to do LLB since i have also completed my Bcom.Since i have left with 1 more year in CA, so i can not join regular LLB for the first year. After CA , i can manage classes.Plz tell me the university under wich i can join LLB now in Punjab. Refer me the university which is liberal & i need to giv only term end xams & need not attend classes.I wish you can understand what i am trying to say.

Last year my Daughter took admission in some college in Mumbai for MBA..
She was then appearing for her graduation exams..and was to submit her grad result by august..
she got compartment in one of her subjects..
The college CANCELLED her admission on the grounds for not submitting the grad result..
But anything of that sort was not mentioned in the prospectus of the college till last year..
I want to take action against the college..
Can I file a case against them?
If so where will I have to file this case..in Delhi(My Current location) or in Mumbai(where the college is situated) ?
Please help..

I AM A STUDENT OF A CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY AND I HAVE GOT 68% IN MY B.COM(HONS.). I HAVE ALSO CLEARED CA INTER WITH 64%. DO I STAND A CHANCE TO GET ADMITTED IN THE 3 YR LAW COURSE OF GLC ? ALSO PLEASE ADVISE WHETHER FACULTY OF LAW DELHI UNIVERSITY IS A GOOD PLACE TO STUDY LAW FROM AND WHETHER IT WOULD BETTER THAN GLC. PLEASE REPLY AT THE EARLIEST.THANK YOU.
