Regarding mobile taken by college teacher.

Respected legal advisor,Greetings from me.
During one of my cousin's last exam in the college,by mistakely the mobile left with him/her,and it was the last exam day of the college. As soon as the exam was supposed 2 complete ,the mobile left with ma cousin started ringing and it was ma cousin's dad's call.I know k mobile is not allowed in de exam hall, but dat was the mistake k ma cousin forgot 2 keep de mobile outside de exam hall. And ma cousin apologised 2 de teachers n de vice-principle but they have taken de action on de same day n at the same moment. And the action taken by the college was "THEY HAVE TAKEN MA COUSIN'S MOBILE IN DE COLLEGE N TOLD DAT THEY WIL GIVE DE MOBILE AFTER 6 MONTHS "They r not ready 2 give the mobile at any cost......! Ma cousin met teachers n vice-principle with his/her parents n insis them 2 give de SIM-CARDS of mobile..But still they r not ready 2 listen n not ready 2 give the sim cards also .......! WE know k mobiles r not allowed in de exam hall n in de college premises, But its not fare k the college takes their students mobile for 6 months n not ready 2 give the sim-cards also.."AFTER DIS MA COUSIN CAME IN DEPRESSION....."
IS THEIR IS ANY LEGAL RULE LIKE DIS K COLLEGE SHUD TAKE DE MOBILES FOR 6 MONTHS ..?????? SO PLZ SUGGEST ME SOMETHING DAT I CAN HELP MA COUSIN TO GET THE MOBILE BACK 4M THE COLLEGE.... 3 months have already passed away k ma cousins mobile is in de college premisis....PLZ GIVE ME SOME LEGAL ADVICE SO I CAN HELP MA COUSIN..!!!

Dear Eminent Experts

I am 39 years old & Ive been into Corporate work all the time. Specialised in HR. About 15 yrs now. Just pulled out to a new venture on Education Management (Self employed).
Ive been at this site for quite some time & it is so fascinating this subject of Law. Along with Expert opinions & reverts I feel I could definitely value add in this field for the benefit of many. I have the desire to study & practice Law.
Just wanted to know if my desire to study & practice Law is practically possible? Are there any avenues to study Law being 39 yrs now or have I missed the bus?
Kind replies welcome. Thank you for your gracious support
