Tenant Verification by Police

Tenant Verification Form as required by Police for tenant verification is totally vague and not transparent, because tenant do not sign and do not get a copy of the received receipt by the Police Department of the same. If Landlord wants with malafide intention can totally jeopardise the tenant in Police Record, without the tenant even knowing the facts because the tenant do not have any copy of the facts detailed by his Landlord. Both the tenant and the Landlord should sign in presence of each other together so that both can know what details are submitted including rent/lease agreement in vogue, otherwise, many facts can be concealed by Landlord if he wants to about the tenant as well and put the tenant in trouble with law in the long run.

Any learned friend should take up this matter and amend the Tenant Verification Form in vogue in the interest of law and justice for the benefit of the mass.

Attestation in Indian Consulate

Can anyone tell me what is the way of getting foreign citizen to sign in presence of Indian consular official in country of their residence so that the document will of be valid as attested in Indian court (for example foreign citizen who acquired property or money in India through inheritance of an Indian citizen but wants to gift or relinquish claim for the same).

Should such document be made on Indian stamp paper or plain paper? If outside any Indian state I think it cannot be Indian stamp paper but different officials are giving different instruction. Some say plain paper is fine because the consular stamp will be there and Indian court will accept as valid.

If same foreign citizens were present in India presumably they could sign in presence of notary or SDM on stamp paper of the relevant state.

Please give your answers my learned friends.
