I recently applied for a new Passport- On 20-12-10.My Passport is expiring on 1-1-2011 . I am getting Married on 18-2-2011 . But since I applied just 2 months before my Marriage , in Passport my Marital Status will be reflected as "Single" . Would this matter in any way in the future when I travel with my spouse abroad (or when I have to apply for Passport of my Child ?)

From time immemorial, receipts are requested duly signed across a Re1 revenue stamp even for cheque payment. Is there a law that insists on this practice ?
What is the law for a revenue stamped receipt for any payment made by a resident to the Society?
Is it obligatory for the Society to give a signed revenue stamped receipt? or will a receipt generated by a computer program acceptable.
What is the specific law/s that covers this issue.
