Birth Certificate

Hi,

My daughter was born in Jan 2008 in our house itself. We have not yet registered the birth(of course we made a mistake by not doing that). Now I want to register. We are in chennai. Where should we register and what docs are required as proof ?

Please apply to your local VAO who will verify the facts and forward to the Revenue Inspector. On confirmation, your Tashildar office or the competent authority will issue the birth certificate.

first u should get birth certificate from hospital where baby born.then u have to go at ur muncipalty or muncipal corporation u have to fill up form and attached xerox copy of birth certificate which hospital authority has been given to u.then u will get birth certificate if ur not having birth certificate then u can attache ur school/college leaving certificate.
