If an Advocate registered with one State Bar Council wants to permanently practice in another High Court say Delhi or Mumbai, then he has to get his Bar Council Registration in Punjab transferred (by making an application to the Punjab Bar Council) to Delhi or Mumbai Bar Council as the case may be. You can approach your present State Bar Council for further details.

You shift your registration with the local Bar Council, wherever you want to practise.

Dear Mr. Manoj,
As a lawyer, you should know the big difference between 'practice' and 'appearance'. While one is supposed to practice only in the State in which one has enrolled, one's occasional'appearance' in any other State will not be objected to. THERE IS A VAST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT YOU ASKED IN YOUR FIRST POST, AND THE LAST POST.
