Respected Attorneys,
I am one of the sufferers of the ban imposed by Honorable Madras High Court on campus recruitment made by Public Sector Units.I have heard that final verdict on this case will come in first week of September.
Now My query is-
1 What might be the verdict in your opinion?
2 Are there any chances of postponement of verdict?
3 What legal remedy is available to a person like me who has been selected by a PSU in campus recruitment and waiting for last 5 months for joining. But not yet absorbed by the PSU.
Regards,

Campus recruitment is a process where an employer goes to only one or some of the educational institutions and make recruitments.

Such process when adopted by PSUs and department is not fiar. It amounts to offering competition of public posts to a selected target and not allowing all eligible persons, with similar qualification in India to apply. It is disguised favouratism and nepotism as such institution use such placement camp history in their advertisement. It violates Fundamental Right to equality of opportuinity.

Your questions are as under :-

1 What might be the verdict in your opinion?

Ans : Not desirable to ponder what court will decide.

2 Are there any chances of postponement of verdict?

Ans : Quite possible. Court may not be having the only case.

3 What legal remedy is available to a person like me who has been selected by a PSU in campus recruitment and waiting for last 5 months for joining. But not yet absorbed by the PSU.

Ans : you can apply to be a party to the case. In this way your advocate can argue your view point before the court.

Or you can try vacation of this stay order from Supreme Court.

Thank you Dear Sir for resolving my Query...
One more Point, if the campus is of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, then Would your opinion differ,as CA Institute organises campus on all India basis, whereby each newly qualified CA gets equal chance of selection. Here the campus process is a bit different from IITs and B Schools,as each such college organises its own campus selection programme where there might be chances of PSUs visiting one Engineering college and not visiting the other. But,for CA campus programme, there is one single data base on all India basis. However, interviews are conducted at major cities in India for the sake of convenience of both recruiter and recruitees.
I would like to ask that don't you think such process is a symbol of equality?

what about giving equal opprutuinity to those who have graduated in previous years. What about the age relaxation to be given to SC/ST OBC.

When interviews are conducted at major cities only then whether TA is givne to the SC/ST candidates as per Govt rules for attending interview.

This system if no alternative to giving advertisement in Employment News, giving details of vacancies, details of reservation to SC/ST/OBC/PH, giving additinal time to the candidates residing in NE region, Ladakh and A&N/Laccadive.

Govt sector recruitment is also open to Nepalese adn Bhutanese.
