aquiring details of Bank deposits

I am a married woman of 57 yrs age.My Father died intestate. I had a married brother who died leaving behind his wife and 2 minor children. I also have a married sister.Father left lot of property and Bank deposits, the details of the deposits are not traceable or the bankers wont divulge. There was no partition. How to get details of Bank deposits legally ?

Approach the bank authorities with the death and legal heirship certificates .

i think rti application will be the solution of your problem if bank does not cooperate with you.

Banks cannot disclose the details of third person bank account under RTI Act so better approach bank, make representation, failing which serve legal notice and at last file a consumer complaint against the bank authorities.

The Deposits of Deseased person /Your father can not be released to any person unless procedue prescribed for release of the amount to legal heirs/succesors , complied with . you have to inform the bank in writing about the death of your father and demand the bank details / what are the Deposits in the name of your late father and ask for details, procedurte and then apply for payment along with other elgal heirs/successors/
