Annulment case appeal is long pending in high court.plz help

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 October 2023 This query is : Resolved
Annulment case appeal filed by opposite party is pending in High Court in hearing stage last 5 yrs, and the case is not taken up for the last 2 yrs. Last status shown in website is in 2021, weekly list, for hearing, not taken up. I have already filed for early posting in 2019. My advocate says petitioner is dragging the case. So, in this context, what could be the reason for the delay and what could be done from side to speed up the process? Can the party directly send a complaint to Registrar?

Quick Summary
An annulment case appeal has been pending in the High Court for five years, with no progress in the last two. The petitioner is reportedly delaying the proceedings. The user is seeking reasons for this significant delay and advice on how to speed up the process, including whether a complaint to the Registrar is an option.

You can give an application to the registrar concerned and request for listing it in the early list of high court hearings.

You can, once again, file an application/petition for early hering.
