whether a widow is competent to give her only son in adoption ..

Yes. If she is a Hindu, under Hindu adoption & Maintenance Act,1956, she can give adoption of her only son. There is no bar.

Yes, she is competent but the son should be below 15 years.

Whether it is only widow's only son or not, would not make any difference, if conditions stated by experts herein above are satisfied please.

yes she is very much competent provide she is a hindu as described by my ld. friends
