Ad letter refused

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 25 August 2020 This query is : Resolved
Hi sir
My company where I was working before are sending me registered AD letters saying to come and complete audit even after resigning... Its almost a year now... And suddenly they are telling me to come back and completed audit.. Company is running under loss.. I didn't accept it and returned it back...what shall I do to stop it
Quick Summary
A former employee is receiving registered letters from their previous company requesting they complete an audit, even though they resigned nearly a year ago. The ex-employer is reportedly running at a loss. The employee returned the letters unopened and is seeking advice on how to stop these requests. The general consensus is that once relieved of duties, an individual is not obligated to assist with audits for a former employer, especially after such a significant time lapse.

How the ex-employer can ask you for conducting audit of their organisation one year after acceptance of your resignation, just ignore it.
Shilesh Patel (Expert) 26 August 2020
Ignore the letter. Your not bound to audit after resigning.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 26 August 2020
Inform the Company that you have resigned and has been relieved one year before, you are not responsible to assist / help audit in such circumstances.

If you have been relieved, you can refer to that and reply. If you are not relieved, then you need to respond as per terms of appointment and your submission of resignation.
