i got married in Dec 2009, and everything was fine. after six months my wife started to tell me that she does not want to stay with my mom. My father expired in 2006 and my mom is 62yrs old.
her parents supports her and also put pressure on me. finally they called her home as they told me that her friend is getting married, so she took some cash, jewellery and I have booked her on air through card as she was carrying valuables. On reaching there she filed a complaint against me & my family 498a and 406. We got a call from their Police station. please advise what precautionary methods we should take.
please revert

If the police have filed the FIR against you under section 498 A and 406, without getting the anticipatory bail do not visit police station. Because there is a chance to arrest you. Immediately apply for anticipatory bail.

you better prefer an application u/s 438 crpc for anticipatory bail and there is every chance of getting so.

Amicable sttlement is the best opition at any stage and if you become unable to find out mutually agreed settlement then you have no other option but to file a divorce petition.
