SIR,
In S.C & S.T (POA) act case, the investigatating office is not below the rank of Sub divisionla police officer, as per rule 7 is mandatory or advisory, receint A.P. High court judgement is against the rule 7.,
If any Supreme court judgement is there in particular aspect.?

can u pls mention the operative part of the judgment here. or

the finding of Hon'ble HC in this context.

actually we all r not from AP so may not be aware of what AP HC said.

Please see Sec 156(2) of Cr. P.C. NO proceeding of a police officer in any such case shall at any stage be called in question on the ground that the case was one which such officer was not empowered under this section to investigate.
