My marriage was solomonised by a hindu priest in a temple.he had given a marriage certificate on a white paper as the temple does not have any temple pad or marriage recieit book.Can i produce this certificate given by him in court to prove my marriage as per Sec.9.

A marriage solemnised according to Hndu rites and rituals does not require any Certificate for its proof.The letter of temple is not marriage a certificate nor it can give such document.

yes. However, you can get marriage certificate issued under Section 8 HMA from the registrar by producing the certificate issued by priest and other required documents.

It is made clear that for proving Hindu Marriage only required ceremonies. i.e. Saptpadi or/and other ceremony prevailing in the community of either party is sufficient. which can be proved by adducing oral evidences of the witnesses present in the marriage.
