Undivided share of land

Can a person own undivided share of land in a building without owning or in possession of a portion in the building.

Yes he can own undivided share in the property even without being in possession.
The property which is succeeded by him as one of the successors need not be in his possession, yet he can claim rights over his share in the property.

Your question is self contradictory when you say that whether a person can own an undivided share if he is not owning and possessing.......


If not owning then how your question can be raised?

I think you want to say that a person has share in the undivided property but has no possession then the reply shall be yes.

A person can be owner of share in undivided property which is not in his possession. His deemed possession shall be there.
