There was a case of consolidation of our land which is in our possession, in which the opposition party won, we went to the High Court against the order. The High Court ordered - Till the next date of listing, the parties are directed to maintain status quo on the spot now my question is Can I plant trees, cut trees, sow crops, reap crops on my land?
A 'status quo' order means maintaining the current state of a property. If a court has issued such an order regarding your land, undertaking activities like planting trees, sowing, or reaping crops could be seen as violating the order and may lead to contempt of court proceedings. It's advisable to refrain from making any changes to the land until the court makes a final decision.

Status quo order clearly states that you are not disturb the prevailing status of the property. Any act of planting trees or any cultivation activity will attract contempt of court, better remain silent till the court passes a final order.
