Kindly please inform whether supporting affidavit is essential while filing written submissions before the Court

if you want to file written statement supporting affidavit( verification affidavit) is necessary in view of the amended CPC.
But while filing written argument it is not necessary.

After the commencement of ameneded CPC, is now mandatory to file supporting affidavit with all pleading like plaint, written statement, application, replication, rejoined etc.

1. any submission to the court which comes within the meaning of Pleadings shall be supported with the affidavit.

it includes plaint, ws, application u O 6 R 17 of CPC, additional WS etc.

2. any other apllication which needs to be proved on prima facie basis then such application shall be supported by Affidavit.
