Rules against advertising

An advocate cannot advertise himself, but if he mentions his areas of interest of legal practice on his letterhead, nameboard and visiting card, would it amount to breach of rules against advertising?

Strictly speaking, such advertisements are against the legal ethics, for an advocate.
