right of bride on the property of father in law

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 09 November 2010 This query is : Resolved
Sirs,

I've a dispute with my wife and she is living separately from me. I'm ready to pay her maintenance and alimony if ordered by the court. But the girl wants to eat my father's hardened property. Is there any law under which she can claim her right in my father's property against my father's will. My father has already debarred both of us from all his movable and immovable properties and has severed all his relations with us (through an advertisement in a national level newspaper). Is there any chance available with the girl for doing this. Pls through some light.

In the self-earned property of the father (father-in-law) no one has any right to claim any share. It is his absolute property and he has every right to do whatever he likes with it. No one including his own wife or children have any right to claim any right over the said property. As such, the daughter-in-law can also have no right on the same.

no rights in any one, in your father owned earned property, your father have all rights of self earned property.
