Hi,
I have sold the shares of my company to another director and shareholder 5 months back and in return he gaves the amount as PDC with cover note on Rs. 100 stamp paper.
Last week, he has sent me a false notice that he has not given me any such cheque. I have following queries:
1. Does such false legal notice has any standing ?
2. Do I need to respond to the notice and in what time frame ?
Thanks,
Alok

PLEASE TELL WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE STAMP PAPER?
WHAT ARE THE CONTENTS OF NOTICE?

1. Reason of issuing PDC was mentioned in the stamp paper.
2. Content of notice is mainly saying that (2.1) the person has not issued any such cheque
(2.2) cheque has been forced to sign on gun point.
Two contradictory statement in the notice.

This type of notices are given to avoid future legal action.
Your options are limited since if you reply the notice than you have admitted its reciept.
