Required time span between arrival of paper book and decision

(Querist) 10 October 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hello everyone

I want to ask you that maximum how much time should be required between arrival of Paper Book and Decision of Court. I have one case between Landlord (Respondent) and tenant (Appellant) to vacate the property for Bonafide requirement of landlord. The tenant also have big ancestral property in the same city in the nearby area with his two brothers and had filed the case against his tenants to vacate his property.
The Small Cause Court has given the decision in favor of Landlord on 22/10/2010 and tenant had filed appeal against the decision in District Court. The paper book was ready on 25/06/2011 and the Respondent has received it on 16/07/2011. Since that day we have hearing for almost every month but the advocate of Appellant party remains absent for every hearing for reasons like "I have pain in my legs", "in my hands", "in my stomach" etc. and ask for future date. Honorable court is also instead of taking action against lawyer said to Respondent that "why are you in so much hurry, I have pending cases since 2007-08". The landlord has bonafide requirement and wants his premises to be vacated as early as possible.
So Sir/Madam please let me know that how much time that should be required between arrival of Paper Book and Decision of Court. Please also let me know that how we can proceed in this matter and what action we can take.

Thanking You in Advance

You can do nothing in the given case for the early disposal of the appeal as there is no time frame to decide those.

You can only pray orally not to adjourn the case and insist over leading the argument.

depends on number of cases already pending in said court.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 10 October 2013
no fixed time frame to decide a case by court.

There is no fixed time for deciding an appeal. Depends upon the no. of pending cases. Oral request can be done.
