Repair fund

Wanted to know, can any society committee decide in their meeting and can ask society members to pay the the society repair fund in just 4 months. Is it possible bye law because 4 moths is very short time, ideally it should charge in monthly maintenance
or 1 year time should be given.

Kindly advice what’s bye law says

Hello,

Yes, without verifying the bye-laws of your society it cannot be advised. However, generally, it has to be charged monthly basis. But society by resolution may decide to collect the charges for immediate use. Verify your bye-laws, if you are not satisfied with society's decision to collected repair charges as stated in your query then you can challenge the same before the sub-registrar.
