Registration of my father' flat my name after his death

Dear sirs,

I was nominee of my father's flat in thane. He died recently.

We are 2 brothers.

Now I want to register my name as sole owner of flat in sub-registrar's office. My brother has no objection.

Could you please guide me?

Being property of your father, as per law your brother has equal right on the property but as you said that he wishes to give away his part ask him to sign a relinquishment deed.

Your brother can relinquish his rights through a deed and after it you can get it in your name. If mother is also alive she also has to register her relinquish deed in the same manner.
