Regarding help

Hello to all Sir,i am a law student and i am asking a question/problem of my friend.He has recently got a job in FCI as an assistant but he has used fake marksheet of graduation to get the job.So what kind of punishment can he get if it gets revealed?And can he lead a good life thereafter as he is regretting to what he has done.
So sir,please give your valuable opinion in this regard.

It is only a matter of time till the truth surfaces. He can be terminated from service and even prosecuted under IPC for forgery.

Before the instance of moral turpitude on his part is detected and he gets punished with dismissal or termination on account of such moral turpitude, it would be better for him to resign at his own and try to get job somewhere else instead of earning a lifelong blot for his career.
