My elder aunt died leaving her home behind
she was under our care
but
she died and
has made no will
she was widow without son/daughter

As per Hindu Succession Act, property of a female Hindu dying intestate shall devolve according to provisions given in section 16 of the Act.
Devolution of interest shall also depend upon from whom your aunt inherited her property i.e. from her husband/father/mother
Care of your aunt by you shall not make any difference to inheritance order.

Actually, my Grandfather and his brother ( father in law of my aunt) stayed togather and had brought the property togather then they got separeted. thus the property she inherited was from her father in law, who brought the property when he was living and earning jointly with my grandfather
