Property

(Querist) 03 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
We inherited a property in Mumbai wayback in 1989 through a will, which was contest with a forged will brought in by neighbour, this matter is in the court at arbitration stage.
This neighbour sensing that he is not making progress coaxed a relative to file a claim on the property, can anyone file such a claim after 24 years. If so how do we combat such a fraudulent move , so that matter can be delayed further.
R.V.RAO (Expert) 04 April 2014
the false claims of the wrong claimant have to be contested by filing a suit to call his bluff and declare him as an outsider who has no claim or title to the said property.
there is no time limit as such to lay claim over a property.only a court of law will decide if the claim is genuine or false.

The case of fraudulent will need to be contested on merits.
