Passport Not recd

dear sir,

i had applied for renewel of passport in the month of august 2010.but till today i have not recd, due to delay of passport i have loose my foreign job,

regarding delay, i send more than 8 email send to passport officer. but there is no action from their side till today.now i jobless, and i am very much disturbed.

plz advice. can i claim to passport office for commpenastion of amount. coz my whole family is tottaly is depend onsalary income.

The passport office normaly will not keep a renewal case pending for a long time. You have sent emails, have you contacted in person.

You can not claim compensation from the passport office.

send a letter to the Passport Office concerned under the rti act 2005,asking the present position of your passport application,including details of the mmovement/file notings etc.

this may help in expediting the matter.

Move under the RTI ACt to know the stage and proceed further.

If you have the registration code when you deposited the passport for renewal, you can even check the status of your renewal case online from the website of the Passport department.
