Ownership of property

(Querist) 10 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
i purchased one flat and one shop by my own money and paid amt by cheque and cash also. but i kept these two properties in my wife's name. now she is claiming that since properties are in my name she can outs me from properties and do whatever she likes. What is solution and legal remedy for me ? pls advise

Dear Mr. Arun,
If the property is in her name, naturally she is the absolute owner of the property. Who paid the money for the property is immaterial. She being the owner of the property she can deal with it in whichever way that she likes. She is quite correct. You can do nothing about it.
