I agree with K.D.Pande. Even issuance of notice within three years also extends the limitation

GENERALLY THREE YEARS BUT IT WILL EXTEND FROM BALANCE CONFIRMATION/ISSUANCE OF NOTICE.

ALL BANKS UPTAINS SO MANY SIGNATURES IN LOT OF BLANK PRINTED DOCS, WHICH ALWAYS CREATES A FRESH LIMITATION IF THEY FILL THE BLANKS.
K D Pande (Expert) 25 December 2009
Notice cannot extent period of limitation.
Limitation for filing suit depends upon type of loan.i.e.

for Term loan--3yrs. from default.
for Cash Credit facility--3 yrs. from last transaction in A/c.
