Does anything, even politely asking something, can be considered to be obstructing public servants especially police to attract 186 IPC ?

Is there any definition on what constitutes obstructing public servant means, either in IPC or in any other Supreme Court judgement?

The exact cause of action not narrated in your query, however, in my view , voluntary obstruction of public servant while at his discharge of any public function will attract section 186 of IPC. For more details/clarifications in the matter local lawyer may be contacted in this regard.
