ICICI Threatning and abusive phone calls

Hi My name is Manu I owe a Personal Loan from ICICI bank Amount 1,80,000 out of which I have paid 1,00,000. Due to ressission I lost my job I called up the bank for the settlement I was informed that I will be contacted by the agency for the settlement. No body contacted me for the next 4 months few days back a person from ICICI bank came to my house for recovery and infomed me to pay 18000 after which a settlement letter will be couriored to me. I paid 18000 but no letter came to my postal address. Yester day a person from ICICI bank DSA recovery agent came to my house who was fully drunk for the recovery. I explained the complete story but he was not ready to listen to my problem and started shouting in front of everyone all the neighbours were listning to the conversation then he started to become more aggressive and started abusing. This kind of behaviour is totally not acceptable. I would like to lag a complaint against it for harrassing my family. Plz help

you can lodge a criminal complaint against those who came to you. you can also seek injunction against the bank from resorting to such illegal modes of recovery.You have the supreme court judgment of A.R.Lakshmanan's Bench on this point. In that also,the party complained against was ICICI. It was severely reprimanded in that case. you can rely on it for redressal.

yes. I agree with Mr. S.Subramanian. As stated by him you approach the police giving a complaint against the DSA. Further keep it mind that whenever such persons come and harass you, you immediately contact the Police No. 100 and inform the matter through your cell itself. You are assured, the police will take action immediately against the offenders. But be sincere and try to pay the amounts at least in instalments and thus show your bonafides.

You may also file a complaint against the Recovery agent to ICICI Bank and take their acknowledgement for the correct balance dues and repayment thereon.

sir people at ICICI bank do not listen to the complaints that ive made the recovery will stop for few months then again this process will start nobody is giving me a solution or a settlement letter the come and take the installment amount and then there is nobody to follow up on that
