Franking of documents

Dear Friends,

Can anyone please inform, from when affixing of revenue stamps on the share certificates done away with and franking of the stamp duty has been made mandatory?

Is there an amendment made in the stamp act to that effect or any notifaction passed?

gneral practsise to put adhesive or revenue stamp on share certifcate . in delhi company has to get certicates franked as notices have been issued to various companies
