Quick Summary
Following your father's death, you're seeking clarification on your rights to claim rent from a self-acquired property under Muslim law. Despite your mother and sisters not granting you possession, you are legally entitled to a share of the rent based on your personal law. The Rent Control Act does not discriminate based on religious or personal laws. For precise guidance and to navigate the specifics of your situation, consulting a local lawyer is highly recommended.
