My grandfather, Muthu had purchased a building from a third party in favour of “Muthu Farms” in which agricultural produce business were undertaken for a certain period. “Muthu Farms” consist of 1) Muthu, 2) his son, Kannan and 3) his daughter, Radha as partners. After he passed away, their legal heirs are doing other type of business relating to manufacturing of metals in the same building in the name and style of “Kannan Metals”. Now we want to change the building name, i.e., Nomenclature, as “Kannan Metals” by way of registration through Registration Department.
Please kindly let me know the Type of document to be prepared for Change of Nomenclature, as “Kannan Metals” instead of “Muthu Farms” for the building in which new business is going on with reference to Acts and Rules.
The registration of document is among legal heirs of partners
Thanking you, Sir.

if "Muthu Fams" is executed and registered under Partnership Act as a firm then you have to file the death certificate of Muthu and execute a deed to that effect by filling Form-V and also the change of name of the Firm. If not registered but executed then also you can file the same. But nor executed a partnership deed previously, now the other partners shall execute a fresh Partnership deed with the name & style as you wish and get it be registered under Partnership Act by filing Form-I, copy of partnership deed and affidavit.
