Time limitation for filing of case

Good Morning Experts

Kindly clarify/indicate the actual time limit for filing a case in any court from the date of committing crime as per the latest Time Limit Act.

As per Cr.P.C the time limit to take cognizance of a criminal case is as follows-
1. if the max punishment is 6 months, the limitation period is six months.
2. if the max punishment is 1 year, the limitation period is 1 year.
3.if the max punishment is 3 year, the limitation period is 3 year.

there is no limitation if the maximum period of punishment is above 3 years.
