What are the factors which are responsible for poor quality of lawyers in the country?

There are two different words... 1. POOR QUALITY, and 2. LAWYER...... if any person having poor quality then he is not called a lawyer..... he only called a "graduate with law subjects"

I have no hesitation to accept the fact that various lawyers are not performing upto mark and thus people of India have to tolerate such lawyers due to which system of law is not performing well.
There are various reasons for this situation like unemployment, low standard of studies, lust for easy money, desire to earn name and fame by adopting short terms, corruption, unaccountability of judges & their involvement in corruption in connivance with some lawyers, changing attitude of general public, lack of national character are some of the reasons leading to this situation.

advertising in dis profession is strictly prohibited,so always client choose d lawyer,d lawyer didn't go 2 knock d door of client.

In USA it is very tough to become a lawyer. The LLB course is very rigourous there. But in India, it is very easy, one easily passes the exam with minimum effort by reading guess papers, thanks to the outdated education system. The legal education system has to be strengthened and the semester system should be introduced in LLB (now they have introduced the semester system).

I can safely categorise poor quality as under:
(a) Ineffective communication skills
(b) Lack of keeping abreast with latest
News related to Judgements
(c) Non-adaptability to fast paced world
due to poor Intelligent quotients(IQ)
(d) Tendency to refrain from Computers and
and Internet and solely dependent on
clerical manpower at Advocate's office
(e) Poor English Language leading to
Misinterpretation of statutes
(f) Entertaining prospective clients with
the sole motive to make money for
short term needs.
(g) ..............
I can add at least ten more items in this list to expose the poor quality of lawyers in the country in general. I sincerely hope that Mr.Sarvesh K. Sharma will not figure in the above mentioned categories. I respect the valid points substantiated by our learned friends Mr.Sanjeev Panda and Mr. Makkad. I want this debate to be healthy probing the root cause for poor quality of advocates in this country.

We can see poor qulity persons in every field in India.According to my concept the main reasons arepoverty,illiteracy ,high population rate,way of administration and so on.The quality of a person can be change by many factors. Even though he or she is possessing good quality ,the circumstance made them to change accordingly.Sometimes good qualities of a lawyer caused him some losses due to external influences.
