Scanning of voter id and pancard

hello sir, i when to SHAREKHAN share broking office for opening a demat account, there they have requested for original voter id and pancard along with photo and scanned and saved them into their computer and later they have opened me an account.

now im fearing that they may mis-use my documents and any liability may be attached to me in future. will it happen so or how can i get same from the issue if anything happens with those voter id and pancard scanned copies?

pls help me in this issue. thanks in advance

They have to have a copy of your identity proof as per various directives of Govt.
