A case has been lodged u/s 287 and 338 I.P.C, in which informant /victim has lost his right hand, when he was cutting straw in the machine of the accused.. During trial, the victim- informant and the accused has compromised the case. And on such circumstance the court of J.M Ist class acquitted the accused and recommended that the State government should pay compensation to the tune of Rs one lakh and minimum 100 days employment to the victim as the victim is a very poor man and comes from schedule caste community. Dear expert, my question is that the court of J. M Ist class can award this type of compensation beyond Cr. P.C ?

in my opinion no court has the power to pass any judgement beyond the limit of Cr.P. C. BUT a court may give sugessions or advice in his judgement.
