cross examination is most expert technique, it can make or break a case.

Unless you can plan properly synchronized questions you will annoy the court and may spoil your case.

No limitation, but it should be relevant.

Also, cross-examination is an art. There are sometimes, when not asking a particular question is more beneficial.

In cross examination, number of questions can be asked but all should be relevant and not beyond pleadings.
V R SHROFF (Expert) 24 March 2012
There is no limitation on number of Question or time duration.
Only material questions, relevant to the case, touching issues framed, or evidence given can be asked in cross examination.
Only if you ant to challenged the reliability of witness, you can ask any questions to prove, witness deposition is not reliable.

Any suggestion given, asked question , may go against you, and better to avoid such question, or it's answer may be fatal to your case.

One have to be choosy , ask min question, get best of it, especially in criminal, or property possession matter.

No limitation for the number of questions in X but they must be relevant to case.

Unless you have through knowledge of Evidence act you may endup spoiling your own case.. you must know what is relavant fact, what is fact in issue, what is admission, what is contradiction, what is improvement, what is suggession etc before you begin cross examination.

No limitation. But it would be in your own interest if you observe some limit with to the point quite relevant questions only that can support your own cause.
