Whether section 205 cr.p.c. maintainable in gr case (498a)

Kindly advise whether exemption from personal appearance is maintainable in GR case 498A. Section 317 I want to avoid in such situation if magistrate not allowing sec 205 Cr.PC what will be best strategy.

If magistrate is not allowing and you have valid grounds, go in revision.
