Death certificate from usa

(Querist) 23 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
My self and my elder brother had purchased shares of motor company in 1960. My brother travelled to USA for Treatment and eventually expired in USA.

I wish to obtain his death certificate to resolve the issues related to shares held and i am not in a position to travel to USA neither financially nor physically as my age is 75 yrs ( Senior Citizen ).

Can a declaratory suit help in this regards or should i obpt any other option.

Dear Mr Rasiklal Mohanlal Aya,
You can issue a notice regarding the death certificate to be obtained from the Indian Embassy of USA along with the persons or friends in USA in this regard. They will do that.

Kindly clarify whether you brother has any legal heirs / wife / children?

You can even file a declaration of death suit but relevant documents has to be filed to corroborate the same
