Cesc Refuses to privide ELECTRIC METER on the ground that there is no space to install new meter
I am a tenet and from kolkata. I reside in a three storey building from last 20 years and i want a separate electric meter in my name.
But CESC office said there is no space to install new meter where all meters of the building install.
My landlord construct the place where all meters are install in such a manner that no new meter can be install.
Please assist me.

kindly note that you are a tenent hence you have to get letter from the landlord to install new electric meter and the same be sent to the electricity supply co. please note.

Place to install meter has to be provided by you in consultation with the landlord. If not possible, send legal notice to landlord and the electric company.

Whether landlord can ask for money to provide NOC/ signing on cesc meter applucation form.
My landlord is asking for it.

This is a local issue. There cannot be a legal solution to your question. You have solve the issues depending on the prevailing circumstances and your requirements.
If you do not want to continue the tenancy, you may shift the residence instead of continuing with an unpleasant atmosphere and always under a quarrelsome circumstances.
