Criminal case and tort case

D/Sir,
Can a tort case and criminal case for same cause of action, run concurrently, i.e. in an accident the fault was from other side motorcycle, apart from traffic violation and damage of motorcycle of complainant, he was hurt badly and want to get compensation for his physical hurt.

Yes Criminal and tortious remedies are distinct and both can sustain together
