improper date on cheque

My customer give me a cheque of dated 31-04-2008.In fact month of April is always of 30 days.Now he is not co operating with me.what i have to do now.

Dear vinod,
May be it is a mistake while executing the document OR intentionly ,but now the validity of the document in question.U cannot proceed with that document under the provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act .But if u cheated by customer by issuing like so ,u may proceed the complianat u/s 420 of IPC.
