To avoid unnecessary litigations, it is required to obtain PROBATE from the court of law to establish the will as genuine and valid. The probate court has jurisdiction chiefly over the probate of wills and also administration of the estate of deceased person. And foreign court's Probated Will valid in India if it has been signed , sealed and registered by the Indian Embassy in the foreign country and then counter stamped (attested)on arrival by the external affairs ministry, New Delhi.
