Is it possible for parents to sue their son twice for maintenance? First time tribunal declared a monthly maintenance of $125per month payable to mother although father is still alive and quite rich( assets more than one crore and fat pension) less than two years back. Although this is much more than the maximum permissible amount of Rs.5000, parents are not satisfied and have sued again. Is this case legally valid and what should be done to vigorously contest this harassment? Please reply. Thanks.

The father may be a pensioner. The mother is entitled for a maintenance.
Even if they are having the property, the earning from all the sources will be taken into account, for deciding the maintenance.

Do you feel harassment in maintaining your mother, who maintained you right from your childhood up till you were made competent to earn your livelihood? Also, would you prefer to forego your share out of property worth crores of your parents after their death?
