Before giving answer to your query, one has to know the following minimum information.
(1) In which State the property is located.
(2) Whether your grand father is alive? If not when did he die?
(3) Whether the property is the self-earned property of your grand father or it was received by him his father etc.
(4) Whether the property in the hands of your grandfather was distributed amongst his sons? Whether the property was distributed by him to his daughters also if any?
(5) When did your father die?
(6) Whether your father has any sisters? If so their details.
(7) Whether your mother is alive.
(8) Whether you have brother(s) and sister(s)? If so their details.
(9) Currently, the property is in whose name?

The property (both movable like jewellery bank account etc. and immovable like house / landed property) will have to go by way of inheritance amongst all the legal heirs of your grand mother.
You and your sister are also one of the eligible legal heirs. First your grand mother's property will have to be divided between all her children (including her deceased children like your father).
Then the deceased child's portion will go to the deceased person's children i.e. you and your sister.
For this, you have to stake your claim. Better ask your uncles/aunt's for the same. If they do not give, then you have to approach the court of law for this purpose. YOU WILL DEFINITELY SUCCEED.
