Hello, I am a Christian girl engaged to a muslim guy. I have a question. If a muslim man marries a christian lady under Special Marriage Act, can he pronounce Talaq as per islamic shariath and do a second marriage.I will be marrying him under Special Marriage Act, so what legal rights are protected me by the Special Marriage Act.Please help me..

no i think in my sence he is not applicable for talaQ in the case of spetial marrige

He married under special marriage act, he can not pronounce you talaq as per islamic shariath in his whole life,as he is no more Mohammadan. He have to bound the civil laws only.(so,your rights all like maintenance under crpc section 125 etc.)Further if a muslim man marries to idol worshiper, then he will not be muslim for ever.If a muslim man marries Kitabia,ie., jew ,chritian lady, then he remains with in Islam.The children born to such Kitabia woman to be treated as Muslims, but he marries idol worshiper , then the children will not be Muslims.

Thank you sir, but confused, I'm latin catholic and I think I'm not an idol worshipper. So is this appicable as per special marriage act or second point?
