property share-reg.

(Querist) 05 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
sir,
we are four brothers, among us my father purchased a piece of land (registered land)on one of his son's name, that is me now the question is my other brothers asking share saying that, father's property has equal right, but as per me, property is in my name and that belongs to me.

thanking you in anticipation, and expecting your earlier reply..

You are right. You are the absolute owner of the property and your other brothers can have no claim on the same.

Look the property has been bought by the income of your father thus you are onlya in the capacity of benami for the property. Thus it is not your own self acquired property owned by yourself.

in reply to ms.padmapriya, though the property is not self acquired by me, and was bought by the income of my father,

is self acquired property is the only property that one can be said absolute owner, and not the ansisterial property registered on his/her name?

this is only a doubt and request.. help..
