FIR copy missing in court office

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 01 June 2010 This query is : Resolved
One criminal (498a) case where apparently the FIR copy is not available or missing in the court.

Will this be any impact in getting anticipatory bail order.

Is this good or bad ,

Pls advise !

It is neither bad nor good. The duplicate copy can be placed on record. The A.B. application will be considered after taking the duplicate FIR on record and during the intervening period, if presiding officer thinks, can give interim protection.

I AGREE WITH PRABHAKAR.

The original FIR can be availed in the concerned police station and a copy of the same can be taken on file

The missing of FIR has nothing to do with Anticipatory bail
